Located about 50 miles along the north side of Carpenter Lake, Casie and Warren Menhenick offer a number of Rocky Mountain pack trips. Discover for yourself some of the most impressive high-country scenery anywhere in the world. Wind your way past the glacier dotted peaks that vault into the crystal blue sky, descending into meadows of wild alpine flowers bursting with vibrant colours. While in the backcountry enjoy comfortable rustic cabin. The base camps are located at Spruce Lake, Eldorado Basin, Trigger Lake, the headwaters of Tyaughton Creek and Relay Creek. You will sleep comfortably on foam mats or thermarest pads, some of the camps even boast hot showers. On extended tours you will be accommodated in new dome tents and sleep comfortably on inflatable sleeping pads.
On your tour you may spot some of the local inhabitants; bears, moose, marmots, deer, wolves, mountain goats and many more creatures that call this terrain home. Tours depart throughout the summer and include your tented or cabin accommodation, all meals and soft drinks plus your mount and the services of experienced guides. The three day Tours - depending on the month you travel will determine the exact itinerary. These short tours are a great introduction to a wilderness adventure and can be specifically designed to accommodate novice riders. You can expect to be in the saddle between 4 to 5 hours per day.
You will explore either the Spruce Lake Area or Eldorado Basin. The 7 day Tours take you beyond the Spruce Lake Park and venture into Big Creek Park as well as options to see parts of Taseko or Williams Lake Areas. These tours are designed for advance level riders and will be your ultimate wilderness tour. Some Extended Back Country Tours will trail head out of special locations to allow guests to be in the heart of the wilderness in less travelling days. Alternatively, why not stay in one of three rustic cowboy cabins. Each cabin has full kitchen facilities, full size refrigerators, gas stoves, wood burning heaters, all your eating and cooking equipment, cold running water and beds.
You bring your own bedding and towels, or for a small additional charge these can be provided. The bathhouse is located a few feet away from your door where you will find both a shower and bath area, washing and lavatory facilities. The cost for this is about £50.00pp based on two sharing.

Recommend hiring a car from Calgary or Vancouver . The outfitter has 2 small cabins available at an extra charge and advises guests book one the night before the pack trip commences due to remote location.
